Virtual Recital Upload Instructions
We hope you all have been enjoying the filming process for the Virtual Recital. We truly appreciate all the work you are doing to film, costume and produce your dancers’ performance video. We know you will really enjoy the final product once it comes together!
As we had mentioned, the deadline to film and submit videos for the virtual recital is this Friday, June 19. All videos will need to be uploaded to us by the end of the day on Friday. This email is to review how and where to upload your recital videos.
Here’s What You Will Need To Upload Your Video(s):
We will be using Google Drive to upload the videos. For those of you who have Gmail, use Google Classroom or have any Google account; you may already be familiar with Google Drive. We will be using this platform to collect your files.
If you do not have a Gmail or Google account, they are free. You will need an account to upload and access our upload folders for the Virtual Recital. To sign-up for a free Google account you can use the website here :: https://accounts.google.com . We appreciate you taking this extra step. Using Google Drive is the easiest way for us to receive hundreds of large video files, keep them organized and be able to share them with our production team.
What’s The Next Step:
We will be emailing out a direct link to a Google Drive folder for each class, individually. This means you will receive one email/link for each class your dancer is in. The email will be labeled with the class name, day and time so that you know which video to upload.
You can access Google Drive through your computer, tablet or phone. Since most of you likely filmed on your phone, our production company has included (see image below) - upload instructions for videos that you can do directly from your phone. Please note: you will be skipping step #4 as we will be sending you the folder for your class directly.
Please make sure you label your dancers video with their full name. Also, please be sure to watch your dancers’ video all the way through to ensure there are no issues before you upload the file. If you do not receive your link(s), please email the studio. We will do our best to help everyone with any issues or questions you may have.
